Bio
A Texan, born and raised. Dr. Juan Davila earned is bachelor’s in biology from Texas A&M International University in Laredo, TX. He then went on to earn a doctor of medicine from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX and completed Family Medicine Residency in Corpus Christi, TX. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) and the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine (ABLM). These certifications give him a unique perspective on health and wellness as he works to improve his patients’ longevity to optimize their health. With a lens on the 6 pillars of health he is focused not on just treating disease but rather avoiding it all together. He practices “Health”-care, not “Sick”-care, making true prevention and disease avoidance top priority. He is a firm believer in lifestyle being the most important driver in reducing disease burden and health risk.
Dr. Davila has lived in Austin for nearly 10 years with his wife and 2 children. He enjoys exploring the city, and the nature it has to offer. He is also an avid video game collector. He is also fluent in Spanish and we love him for his humble demeanor and desire to do what is right by his patients.
